Her Story

Before she knew what it meant to be a songwriter, Ellie Rivers was already using music to give her feelings somewhere to go. Sitting near the edge of an Iowa cornfield after burying her childhood bird, Bubba, she wrote her very first song. Now based in Nashville, Ellie pairs a textured, smoky alto with a natural instinct for finding the story inside a song.

Her music has been featured in Emmy Award-winning television, heard on Nashville radio, and recognized through multiple songwriting competition wins. But Ellie is less interested in collecting milestones than in making songs that stay with people.

That approach comes fully into focus with I Do, I Did, I'm Done, a six-part Visual EP that uses songs and videos to bring to life a love story that lost its happily ever after—beginning with the realization that it was over and following Ellie through heartbreak as she learns to begin again.

From slow-burning ballads to sharper moments of clarity, Ellie writes about love, loss, hope, and the complicated space between holding on and moving forward. The result is richly textured country music rooted in honest storytelling, carried by a voice that can make even the quietest line feel lived-in.
